There is so much history here too with human occupation spanning millennia. A photographer's dream. My photos are mostly taken spontaneously in less visited places or from unusual viewpoints. I prefer more remote landscapes and spectacular coastline and also exploring and shooting the area's fascinating yet lesser known history. This includes neolithic sites, forgotten ruins, local architecture, long abandoned industries and shipwrecks.... the remaining fragments of human endeavour and its struggles with nature.
My images are mostly spontaneous, sometimes taken in less accessible or more remote places or perhaps are taken from unusual viewpoints. I like to understand the history of the places I visit and will research them and hopefully describe what I have captured.
If my shots hold your attention, lift your spirit, make you ask questions, make you smile or even fire your imagination and make you want to explore your own area then it is more than enough reward.... although you are welcome to buy prints too! ;)
