I grew up in Anaheim, CA in the 1960s surrounded by strawberry fields and the aroma of condensing orange juice from the Sunkist plant just a few miles from my home. My first camera was a gift from my aunt and uncle in the late 60s. I became the school photographer at Dale Jr. High from 1975-1977 under the guidance of John W. Lehman. I also did some work for Magnolia Highs year book while I attended school there from 1977-1980. I earned my BSEE from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1983. I shot using film in the 90s and switched to digital around the turn of the millennium. Today I shoot using a Nikon D810, D700 and an infrared converted Nikon D80. I primarily use Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop CC, On1 and Topaz to cleanup and prepare images. My most influential photographers in alphabetical order are Nick Carver, John W. Lehman, Annie Omens, Jay Panish, Deborah Sandige, Sue Swanezy, Tony Sweet, and Mick Victor.
