SCIENTIFICALLY: a Rainbow is produced as the light reflects back out of the raindrop, it bends again. That internal reflection produces the arc of sunlight spread out across its spectrum of colors -- a rainbow. A double rainbow is formed when there are two reflections inside one raindrop SPIRITUALLY: Rainbows provide us with hope and motivation as a symbol for good luck. Rainbows are a sign of good fortune ahead. In Irish mythology, they are even thought to be the hiding place for pots of gold. A double rainbow is considered a symbol of transformation and is a sign of good fortune in eastern cultures. The first arc represents the material world, and the second arc signifies the spiritual realm. PERSONALLY: I'm a lover of rainbows...I love everything about them...they bring joy into my life...I love their vibrancy...I love the excitement when people see a rainbow...and I feel fortunate to be able to capture them on my travels.
