Quinton Elston Foreman, born in Birmingham , Alabama grew up on Chicago ’s South Side. “I’ve always been interested in the creative process and am ever open to new ideas and mediums of creative expression. I’ve worked in stained glass, mosaics, acrylics, oils, charcoals, pastels, photography, graphite, ink, collage, limestone sculpture – and who knows what’s next.

I like using Diverse Symbols in some of my work – symbols which promote belief in God, hard work, strength in family and concern for our fellow man. Somehow it makes me feel “close to the source.” While I used to feel African Americans were cast in a negative light by the media, I now believe we have the power —and the responsibility to effect change for ourselves without permission. I believe we have advanced through struggles and triumphs and now I want the development, harmony and beauty of it to be reflected in my work. I want you to look at it and be blessed.

I want to show what I can bring to the table. What I’m passionate about, while contributing to our society and world. I want to do my part to beautify and share. There are so much more than one or two kinds of “beauty.” Have you ever really looked at an Orchid or smelled a Gardenia? It is as if God is saying, “fully partake and enjoy!” I feel that any Art should be a truth beautifully rendered.

It is obvious that all talent is from God; His desire to express himself through me, and countless others. To say: “APPRECIATE ME AND MY WORLD; recognize the diversity and beauty together, and tell the story, and we all have a story to tell.
