I started filming as a kid. Childhood took place behind the iron curtain of the Soviet Union. At that time it seemed fantastic to be able to visit different countries and move freely around the world. Now that the country has become free (borderscrossing, at least), visiting different places on the planet became my passion. It is a part of my life that compensates for my childhood and youth under the Soviets. Photography gives me the opportunity to preserve my experiences forever and to share them with others.
