We now reside in South Carolina, and my new passion is nature and wild life. I wake up each day invigorated and excited as to what I am going to find. Each day is a new adventure. I am so blessed to live where beauty abounds. I photograph alligators that roam freely in Huntington Beach. There is a bird rookery right around the corner from where I live. I feel privledged to get to photograph hundreds of Great White Egrets, from the start of the process of building their nests, to laying the eggs, to the newborn baby egrets as tiny white fur balls, to them gaining their freedom and finally flying out of their nests, to start the process all over again.

I love living at the beach, so many things to find, sea urchins, starfish, sea gulls, crabs, jellies and once I even got a picture of a shark that had been caught in the waves by a fisherman, I got into the water just inches from the shark to get THE SHOT. Of course the fisherman let the shark go. I get close to the alligators as they cross the road, but always have my zoom lens so I can keep a safe distance. When I walk down the road which is next to the pond in Huntington, in the Spring you can actually hear the alligators mating and roaring. You can see the ruts on each side of the road where they cross from pond to pond, and I have taken hundreds of pictures of them doing just that. Once I was lucky enough to even capture an alligator catching and cracking a blue crab.

Mytle Beach is full of opportunities and adventures, I saw a man swim all the way to the end of the pier to free and untangle an Osprey that was caught in a fishing net. In Murells Inlet the Pelicans have such personalites and it is so much fun to see the poses they can get into. And of course it is always fun to watch the Great White Egrets, Eagles, Great Blue Heron, Wood Storks, Anhingas, Cormorants catch their huge fish, they make the local fisherman pale in comparrison !!

Brook Green Gardens is just down the road from me where the flowers, bees, insects, lubber grasshoppers,, butterflies and hummingbirds are abundant.

Welll I guess I have gone on and on, and told you about all of my honey spots in South Carolina. Hopefully you will get the chance to come visit our plantations, gardens, bird rookeries and state parks so you can see the beauty first hand and capture your own memories

Thank you so much for your kind comments and for visiting and viewing my photography.
