I have loved photography since my grandmother gave me my first camera (a Brownie Hawkeye, which I still have) at the age of 15. I have been passionate about taking photos ever since. I have always done well in art since the first grade. I believe it is a God given gift.

I started off drawing, then painting with oils. I went to acrylics as I became impatient waiting for the oils to dry. I was an emotional painter and my best was when I was inspired, so I painted fast. Later, I saw that I could capture the beauty of a moment by using my camera. People say that I can see what others don't. I am always seeing 'a moment', wishing I had my camera with me all the time. (usually, I do.)

Photography is capturing that exceptional moment when the expression on someones face shows their true emotion. When their action is freeing the spirit. When the stillness is exciting the emotions. When taking scenery, the light is just right. Capturing God's creation. It is a very special moment. When I see a photograph that evokes feelings, it is priceless. Whether it be mine or someone elses.

I treasure this gift and love sharing what my spirit sees, with others.

I have participated in several art shows including the St. George Art Festival and took 3rd place in photography. It was my first show, so I felt honored. I presently have some prints in different art gallaries on display in this area.

Recently 4/2012, I was chosen to be the 'Featured Artist' at Tucahn Outdoor Theater Saturday Market where artists from the St. George area participate. I had a book signing of a chidren's book I photographed and wrote (True story) sold photography on canvas and on notecards of local scenes.
