Welcome! You may notice these pages are the diary of an artistic exploration and struggle. These paintings taught me how to see, and paint, and use my brushes. As a self-teaching artist I was determined to learn every genre and paint every subject matter. For more than a decade I practiced the skills and techniques that came the hardest to me. The goal was always to find my voice. I left no stone unturned. I started with oils, and have gravitated to acrylics, with few exceptions. I am currently working in two directions that give me immense joy. I will explore them as far as these roads can take me. Large intuitive, but representational abstracts. It seems they look back at me, unfinished with a need to be made whole. I can't imagine stepping away from that. On quiet evenings, I create smaller paintings, drawn from imagination, and painted to smile back at me.
