If you asked me years ago how I felt about photography, I would have said, 'As long as I'm behind the camera taking the pictures, I'm fine.' I have always been camera-shy so I have always opted for being the photographer, just to get out of being photographed. I still feel that way but I did not actually develop a love of photography until on a whim; I bought a new camera because it was pink and I thought it was cute. I have since upgraded to a different camera, which I love.
I had taken so many pictures of my dog that when he would see the camera, he would instinctively turn his head away from the camera. Because of the constant battle with him, I decided to start taking photographs outdoors as well.
All of my photos are untouched, with no filters.
Being self-taught, there is still so much to learn but one thing I have learned is that taking photographs brings me peace. I hope that my photographs allow you to step into a peaceful place as well.
