I'm a self-taught artist and painting is one of my passions. My love of painting has driven me to keep trying harder every single day of my life.
For the past few years I have been working on getting my degree in Art, it has been a very slow process since I am a caregiver too. Since I am going part-time to my classes probably it will take me another year or so. It is never to late to get a degree in what you love doing the most.
I have had years of enjoyment learning different techniques, and styles. I love expressing myself, and keeping an open mind; so that I can give my clients what they deserve when buying one of my pieces. I believe that my artwork shows who I really am. I started painting many years ago and was inspired by a very famous cuban artist which happens to be married to my aunt, his name was Andres Rodriguez Garmendia. When he passed away I was in my teens at the time, and I felt alone and without guidance what so ever in the art world.
So I taught myself to paint, read lots of art books in English and Spanish which help and fill my enthusiasm as an artist. As a gift I received an easel, brushes, oil paints, canvases, paper, carbon pencils, turpentine and that's when I really took painting serious.
