I am re purposing myself yet again. My adult business life has been spent as a retailer, which I loved, loved, loved. But now the creative part of my brain is screaming to get out. I didn't know I had a creative bone in my body. I'm as surprised as anyone. I started painting in my late forties, taking informal classes with my friend, Karen. Inspiration came and went in spurts. When I retired from retailing and moved back to NJ for the fourth time, it became my 'go to' activity every day. I thought I was just spinning my wheels, waiting quite impatiently for the universe to send me the next PROJECT when my psychic told me I was given the two years as a gift of time to perfect my skills. Now I have a pile of watercolor paintings my friends and family say are pretty good. The Taurus in me has to be practical about EVERYTHING, so I here I am selling art.
I am hoping restaurateurs will enjoy these fruit and veggie pieces to use them as major statements in their establishments. I like them in home kitchens, too. Come one, come all vegetarians and vegans. The florals try to be dramatic, divas that they are. The trees and seas are my favorite things in nature.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
