Nancy Kibler Rabe lives in Winchester, VA, part of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. She is originally from Strasburg, VA.
Nancy started her painting about 25 years ago In acrylics, then began in oils, later gouache, pastel pencils, colored pencils and some graphite pencil. She loves seeing her work come to life with color and vibrancy. Painting in different mediums is very challenging and very rewarding. She is a forever learner and an admirer of all art mediums and styles.
She has studied with various instructors, many seminars, continually taking online classes, always learning and developing her style.
She has participated in juried shows, individual shows, occasionally does commissioned work, and has taught acrylics.
Several years ago, she did several months volunteering with cancer patients in completing acrylic paintings to decorate examination rooms in the new oncology center in Winchester, VA.
In addition to painting, Nancy’s favorite hobby is spending time with her grandchildren, along with traveling with her husband, and getting together with friends.
