I graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids with a BA in English: Creative Writing and a BFA in Fine Art and Studio Art with focuses on Sculpture, Printmaking, Installation, Painting and Drawing. I started doing Caricatures for Kaman's Art Shoppes when I was 16 and have considered myself to be a professional artist ever since. Art has blessed my life to pay my bills and get groceries for over 18 years! I currently do tattoos for a living in New Orleans. However, due to the coronavirus, I am not working because you can't put a tattoo on someone from 6 feet away.
Born and raised in Escondido, CA, I have spent time living there, in Grand Rapids MI, Seattle, WA, and New Orleans, LA. New Orleans is where I call home.
The body, plants and the imagination tend to be the main factors that compel the work that I do. I work in many different styles from realistic figure oil paintings to silly abstract Hotdog Princess drawings. Hotdog Princess is a character that I have been drawing as long as I can remember. She started as a paper doll and has existed as what pastes, drawings, paintings, etc.
