I'm a New York based Fine Art Photographer and Digital Artist. I have a passion for using my camera and editing software to create images that can't be seen with the naked eye. With the use of long exposures, I record motion over a period of time. This can give the effect of clouds to appear as if they're streaking across the sky. Water will turn silky smooth, or after several minutes of waves crashing on the shore, it will appear as if fog is settling around rocks in the foreground, creating a surreal mood. Infrared photography is another favorite medium of mine because of the otherworldly scenes that emerge.
On the other hand, I love capturing images of beautiful, natural landscapes exactly as they appear. Unfortunately, a simple snapshot can not capture the full dynamic range of a scene. In high contrast situations, such as facing towards the sun, a single exposure can't record all the details in both the highlights and the shadows. In this case, I take multiple exposures ranging from very dark to bright images and meticulously blend them together in Photoshop.
