Michael Valley was born in Florida raised in Tennessee and live most of his life in Georgia He received his BFA and MFA from the University of Georgia. He taught at UGA with a TA position for years and an adjunct for one year. He has also taught an Art Appreciation class at the GA. Perimeter College.

Accepted into the Brooklyn Waterfront Arts Coalition in 2012;
Twice won an awards for finalist in the Art Magazine yearly national art contest in the
mixed-media section;
