Born and raised in Iowa, I have always enjoyed the subtle beauty of the Midwest.   Approximately 20 years ago, I picked up a film camera for the first time.   I absolutely loved that camera, and I recall the excitement I felt each time I opened a new box of developed slides.   Although I have moved on to digital photography, the process of capturing images continues to force me to slow down and appreciate the beauty in the world.   Work commitments sometimes keep me from getting out and exploring with my camera, but I am thankful for the opportunities that I do have to pursue my...more
