I am a portrait artist.   Although I thoroughly enjoy the actual process of doing the portrait, I think my greatest pleasure is seeing the satisfaction in the eyes of the one receiving the portrait.   When I was about 6, I happened to do a sketch of my grandfather that actually looked like him and everyone was amazed.   So, naturally, I have been doing portraits ever since.   Of course I had art classes throughout grade and high school.   Then, I became a 'non-traditional' college student in my 40's.   One day one of the other students asked an art...more
