Marita�s interest in art began after leaving her career in International Banking to raise her family. (in the 1980�s) After receiving a set of oil paints as a birthday gift from her husband and experimenting with them she instantly knew that she wanted to have this creative outlet in her life. She began taking adult education classes in painting and drawing where she met artist Ellen Hall who encouraged her talents.
