I consider myself to be primarily a nature and landscape photographer, who also enjoys creating digital art. I live on the west coast of Canada, on the southern tip of beautiful Vancouver Island, and nature provides much of the inspiration for my craft. I am lucky to have many birds and wildlife share my neighbourhood, and I will spend many a happy hour sitting outside with my camera, capturing their antics as they come to visit my yard. The many birds and deer have become used to seeing that crazy lady sitting on the porch pointing her black box at them, and, as a result, I have been lucky to have captured many of their images as they visit unafraid. I also frequent a nearby bird sanctuary beside the ocean, and the gardens of a local castle. A few years ago I signed up for online courses in creating digital photoart, and I have enjoyed doing so ever since. These courses have taught me new skills, and the confidence to keep trying something new. I have learned how to enhance many of my photos by adding textures and other digital elements, transforming them into artworks of my imagination. As a direct result of signing up for these courses, many of my images have since been published in various issues of the international Living the Photo Artistic Life magazine. In the field of photography and digital art, there are always new skills to learn, and something new to create. It certainly keeps my mind occupied, as I feel I am constantly learning new ways of seeing. Thank you for visiting me. I hope you will come back again, and see what else I have added since your last visit. Cheers!
