Maria Woithofer was born in Poland.Maria's aesthetic was radically altered when she moved to Greece.Her experiences there,especially of Santorini Island,have became an abiding passion in her painting life.
Maria has been painting for five years.She considers herself an amateur,self-taught painter.
She often uses natural black send from Santorini beaches or its red,black,white sea stones and shells in her work.
She began painting in oils,which is still her primary medium,but now she also branching out into other mediums,such as acrylics or watercolor.
At the beginning of 2013,she became a member of www.paintbasket.com where artists,Nolan Clark and his father Danis provide her with valuable instruction.
In 2013 she submitted two paintings to the National Competition 'Las i Czlowiek' and her work 'Lapwing'was selected for their exhibition.
In 2014 she participate in XX National Amateur Contest named Ignacego Bienka,and her work was selected for their exhibition.
In January 2015 her painting 'Violet Tulip' took 5th place in oil paintings,in 4th Annual 'Season' online contest from www.lightspacetime.com.
On March 2015 her painting 'In the garden' was selected for the exhibition after contest of XXI National Amateur Contest named Ignacego Bienka.
