I studied elementary art and sketching in early education and I've found photography to be an immediate extension of my love for art.
I'm a 2nd generation shutterbug with a varied interest .
I have been sharing my photography in galleries and online since 2005.
My camera equipment is simple,a Sony DSLR Alpha 330 with a 55mm and 300mm lens.
I enjoy using filters to bring a wonderful photo to another artistic level.
Some of my exciting and unexpected success include:
In 2007 I entered my first photo competition and won First Place in B/W portrait photo competition with 'PEEK A BOO' a child's portrait in sepia tone.
In 2009 I took Blue Ribbon and First Place in a Juried Art show at Univ. of Connecticut in the Digital photo catagory for 'BOATS REFLECTED'.
In 2007-2014 I have enjoyed being a photo contributor to our local newspaper, providing photos of human interest and news about town.
In 2011 I had my first gallery sale of a photographic work of art, 'The H.L. Walking Stick'.
Our Fairfield Magazine has published one of my summer photos, and purchased a Winter Mill photo for the Holiday Issue.
