I have been drawing, painting, and crafting since I was a child. Living in Oregon where God provided color everywhere you look, along with rainy days to encourage a lot of indoor activites, I spent hours painting and drawing.
Now that I have entered the empty-nester stage of life, I am blessed with additional time to focus on art. Over the years I have found that I enjoy creating artwork with a single subject and infused with a lot of color. My style has been described as unique, colorful, and whimsical.
Currently I am working with acrylics on canvas, scratch art with India ink, and watercolor. You will find that my more recent work contains several cactus paintings. This is influenced by a move from Oregon to Mesa, Arizona in 2008, and my fascination with the many colors found in the landscapes of the Sonoran Desert, and the Arizona skies.
