I bought my first camera at the local drug store when I was twelve and started taking pictures. I'm now sixty nine and make images. I ran two photo labs when in the USAF and worked for Canon for twelve years. I have shot weddings, photojournalist style, for the prestigious studio, Bachrach and shot somewhere around 60 weddings. For many years, I'd get excited and shoot a scene or subject, rush to the lab to have my film developed and printed. When I got the prints back I was always disappointed with the results. I'd just toss the envelope into a large cardboard box and forget the issue. Ten years ago, I took the basic/advanced courses in Photoshop. When I realized what I could do, I rushed to the box and made prints which showed what I saw originally. Yes!! I never had the patience to work in the darkroom but I have a hard time leaving my digital 'darkroom', my 'lightroom'. I am so happy that I can now do what I was born to do... it's never too late to come alive, donchakno!
