Madge Scott is an award and prize winning self taught Artist of International History and Folk Art and motivational writing.
Discovered in 2004, her work has been sold nationally and internationally. A member of the Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers, NY and a member of RiverArts in the Hudson valley, her work is well known. Her works has been shown in Galleries, Universities, Consulates, Libraries, Arts Westghester, Rockland Center For The Arts, Municipal Buildings and other institutions and locations in New York.The famed Gallery Bonheur in St. Louis is one representative of her work. She began drawing and painting in the late 1990's and has never had an art education. Her work has been published in newspapers, books, one (Images os America, Hastings on Hudson) and magazines and Periodicals (Arts Westchester.).Madge has several gallery shows each year in various locations in New York..Her work has been shown in a recent portrait show at the Katonah Museum of Art.Last year in January, Madge was awarded The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian award for community service and in February, was published in the City College of New Your Alumni Magazine. In December her work was featured by the Men's Perspective Magazine. Madge uses some of her work for charitable causes and is always willing to help out various organizations.
