My works are studies of homes and streets in Glover Park, the DC neighborhood my Mother and I loved also homes in Milton, Delaware and in Show Low, Arizona. Atlantic seaboard images like the WWII Gun Towers on July 4th and the stunning nature scenes through Sussex County, DE are a few of my favorite subjects. For example, The 'Lewes Lighthouse 1926' is oil on canvas of the ubiquitous photo of its last days prior to the ocean finally taking it and the adjoining house. My Rehoboth series has morphed into a Sussex County collection, 'La La Land', 'Firetowers', ‘Serendipty’s’ and the aerial 'Watershed' are done! The Cool Spring Road Nanticoke family farm commissions and the Sam Lucas Road farmscape have been sent out! Male nudes are making a resurgence in my portfolio as well! My unique, expressionistic, or post-impressionistic original oils, acrylics, mixed media on Masonite board, ACEOs are on many walls from Mexico to Malta. To that end, I have enjoyed participating in the successful House of Sweden CAG Art Show, www.houseofsweden.com, on the Potomac in Georgetown (D.C.). The Rehoboth Art League in Henlopen Acres in Rehoboth Beach and Milton Arts Guild in Milton, DE in Delaware are two fabulous local galleries where I enjoy showing and learning as well. Lastly, the Malibu Art Show in Malibu, CA. Please be sure to attend the Citizens Association of Georgetown art shows at www.houseofsweden.com - amazing venue and show which will have its openings every February. Also come to the Rehoboth Art League which is open year-round as are many of the superb galleries here at the beach.
And when you are in Los Angeles, CA check out Tom O’Mara’s works. My tutelage began under Tom O'Mara, a fellow colorist in Venice Beach, CA. Thanks to him, while on an extended RV tour of the USA, I produced a solid group of Van Gogh like images of moonlit lakes and heat drenched muddy rivers. Then my cats in doorways and windows started taking center stage. 20 years since my start, I love painting cityscapes, structures, farms and lots of cats! Don't miss out on the new prints/glicees available of all my work on this website and many others. UPDATE: The original 'DOLLES' sold thanks to the Rehoboth Art League; a redo is available on commission. I love to paint houses and recently am proud to have completed a commission request for three paintings of a lovely farmhouse on Cool Spring Road in Sussex County. What a pleasure!
