This painting expresses the tranquility, peace, silence, loneliness in the midst of the madness of the modern world. Deserted cityscapes, empty spaces, ruins of the ancient cities, quiet waters are painted on canvas in a realistic manner. This is an attempt to sort out the chaos and make a rest stop in the middle of endless movement.
Leonid Polotsky is an artist and an architect from Saint Petersburg. After studying painting and drawing in the Studio of realist artist Boris Belyaev he set out to further study painting techniques of old European masters. He prefers to paint landscapes and still lifes with flowers and follows the classical tradition in his paintings. His works are in private collections in Russia, USA, Israel. Two his personal exhibitions were held in 2018.
