Biography
Leif Sohlman was born in Enkoeping (Enkoping) Sweden. He lived in the city until an age of 4 years when he moved to city Stockholm, capital city of Sweden, where he went to school and graduated as engineer in telecommunication techniques. Thereafter he was employed in Swedish telecom until retirement dealing with technical issues. After retirement he moved back to city Enkoeping. After his mother's death he began to photograph and also enhance photos with some artistic attempts. Now he is trying to learn to make digital paintings as a complement to photgraphy. He is a photographer/digital artist mainly working with nature and landscapes as flowers and macro photography and digital art as digital painting, photo painting and abstract work. He mostly find his motives in the surroundings of his home in City Enkoping (Enkoeping) Sweden
Statement
Nature is a beauty we all have to love. If we do not love nature, we lose a bit of our souls. Leif's images try to find the beauty in the surrounding, especially nature, around us and to let others find that beauty through his images. Sometimes it might be beauty in something you do not believe is beautiful. He likes to create digital paintings of nature and abstracts. He hopes others will find and search beauty in nature through his images and inspire others to find beauty in nature.
His images have been awarded in international competitions.
