Ms. Feldstein's fascination with patterns stems from her love of numbers. While mathematics has been integral in her working career in finance, her other love is painting. Her subject matter is inspired by photographs taken by friends and family.
'I often see a photograph in terms of color, line and geometry. These qualities appeal to my sense of order and design. There are times when a single photograph and the resulting abstract painting leads to another path -- and another painting -- and sometimes a third or fourth version from the same photo.'
