I've been involved in some sort of artistic or storytelling vocation for most of my life.
After college and many semesters of stealing away in a darkroom, I emerged to take another direction; I became a ENG photographer for the NBC affiliate in Boise Idaho, followed by a decade at KGW television in Portland Oregon. Although I worked in news, I never lost my love for still photography, and the incredible powers it has to tell a story.
I've owned and operated my own small production company, and for a number of years worked in sales of media creation products.
For the last 10 years, digital photography has been my passion.
From simple images to highly developed digital art, there is seemingly no end to the creativity that one can achieve in the digital world. While I love traditional painting (I've done some oil and watercolor work) and greatly admire those who can master it, I find digital art just as challenging and as limitless as any tactile art form. The more I learn about it, the deeper I want to go, and the results get increasingly satisfying for me.
