I have been living in Europe,Bulgaria since I was born- in 1957.   Creating small artworks gives me pleasure and chance to learn new ways and styles of painting.   In 1989 I started to paint orthodox icons,using the egg-tempera technique..I spent long hours studying the old techniques and canons for painting the classical Byzantine icons.   Anyway, my icons always have been an interpretation of the original wooden icon or murals, mostly from Bulgarian monasteries and churches.   My icons were shown in exhibitions in Vienna, Prague and Berlin.   Starting from 2006 I...more
