My father used the nom de guerre Ludlow when he joined the British army as a refugee from Nazi Germany.   I've reclaimed Luchtenstein in memory of him and his lost family.   I began my career as an artist in the 70's at Hornsey College of Art and then gained an MA at the Royal College of Art.   I won a major traveling scholarship which I spent in China in 1980 studying the art there.   After college I did several jobs while developing my own work; teaching life-drawing at Chelsea School of Art, two years as a special effects painter at Henson Creature Workshop on the films...more
