I have always been doing artwork, but began serious art studies in the 1970's.   During this time I took life drawing and painting classes at the local college.   After completing courses that were available, I realized I needed to work outdoors from life in order to gain insight into the way daylight interacts with forms to produce the color sensations of vision.   I worked on my own, but made thorough studies of a great many artists' works, to see what had been discovered, and what was possible to attain in using coloring to describe the visual sensation.   Then I was fortunate to...more
