I started in Cincinnati, Ohio, in a dance troupe called ‘FLEX’. Our group won numerous dance contests locally, which got us recognized nationally. That brought me to New York City, where I spent nine years as an established working actor in theater, independent films, commercials and soaps. My education came from acting teacher legends, Sanford Meisner and Bobby Lewis, as well as Martin Barter at the famous Neighborhood Playhouse Theater.I spent six of those years in New York City as a mobile disc jockey to supplement my acting career. I also started my career in the filmmaking side of the business by attending The School of Visual Arts where I studied screenwriting and directing.
I moved to Los Angeles in 1996 to further my acting career in film and television, I studied with Larry Moss, Ivana Chubbuck and Aaron Speiser. I also continued my filmmaking education at UCLA’s extension course for filmmaking where I studied screenwriting, directing and editing.
In 2002, I invested my creative life full-time to filmmaking by enrolling in The Los Angeles Film School. My concentrations were directing, screenwriting, producing and editing. After directing three short films that did the film festival circuit, I also completed two full-length feature screenplays in that intensive film program. In 2004, I formed Hollywood Filmmakers, a film production company. I am in post-production on “Journey to Sundance”, my first feature documentary film about the Sundance Film Festival and independent filmmaking.” I executive produced, produced, directed, composed and co-edited this film.
Finally, following my other passion for the still photo, I enrolled and graduated from the BROOKS INSTITUTE of PHOTOGRAPHY. I have spent the last couple of years traveling all over the world to capture beautiful people, countries and special moments.
