I have been interested in photography since the mid 70's when I was a student at The West Surrey College of Art and Design in Guildford, Surrey, UK, studying Design for Printing. Photography was offered as a sideline and I would often stay behind to make use of the photographic facilities at the college.
In the early 90's, I took a course in photography studying composition, use of an SLR camera, darkroom techniques and studio lighting. After a short break and with the advent of digital photography, I have started taking photographs on a regular basis, mainly landscapes of the immediate area where I now live in North East Ohio.
My Dad was also a keen photographer and encouraged my interest in photography; I still use some of the hints and tips that he passed on to me to this day.
You never stop learning... It's a subject I have enjoyed for many years and hope to progress further.
