Ink & Pen & Ink

After moving from Portland, OR. back to San Jose, CA. Joseph began a looser approach to painting. This series of Ink and Pen works were created in 2008. The looser, free flowing style influenced the artist work heavily. Demaree's interest in Impressionism began to inspire his painting with a greater emphasis on a free flowing movement than his technical, Illustrative, surrealist approach. While continuing to experiment with Pen & Ink in 2009, Joseph opened his imagination for a flood of images to drip onto the page. These Surreal, sub-conscious, free flowing drawings have always been within his minds eye.
