About me
I was born in Cholula, Puebla, a state in central Mexico, at age 12, just walking through town, I found a field painter that impressed me and marked my life forever, I get fascinated with the color palette, with the magic he had in put in a canvas all those colors for a unique work ... that moment I knew that that was what I wanted to do, so I started to visit libraries, read everything that fell into my hands related to the world of art, history, technical all I could find, I also began to paint in my room without telling anyone, because there was no particular reason, I was never a man of many words, after a while I start to show my sisters some of my drawings. Never at home exist any opposed to my passion, although it was clear from the beginning that I would never have enough money so I could go to an academy, it was something I was not even going through my head, it was just enough for eating
I continued painting, reading, learning, I was lucky and found the teacher Eduardo Villanueva, disciple of Diego Rivera, who was instructing me for 4 years, at the workshop he had in the Artist Quarter, Puebla, but also went out many times paint the natural, he was a quiet, gentle man, he always said there is only one way to learn to paint ... it's going!
For years I was combining my passion for painting with other works that allowed me to feed the family, because I married young, I learned to restore, made all kinds of religious work, as it was where the commissions came from, also portraits, everything to allow me to continue painting was good, if that was the way to paint ... welcome !!
In 2004 I moved to live in Tulum, a small town in the Riviera Maya, I trained as a therapist, something that already had knowledge inherited from my mother, really was a fresh start in all aspects, seen from the point art was more of a setback, there wasn’t so many orders of religious work, or portraits, there was a few years a good gallery in the town where it sold well, but finally had to close due to increased local income, little by little I started to meet people, find other places to exhibit my work, mainly restaurants and hotels. Just few months, a whole new world opened up for me, 'internet' a fascinating place where I can show my work, speak directly to collectors, explain what I do, why I do it ... something exciting ... and I'm still learning manage, sometimes I think beyond me, so much information, so many artists to know, so many things to discover! but here I am!, trying to show the world my work, contacting people from around the globe to help me and teach me to walk this new world, all of them I am extremely grateful.
