I've always been an artist; the urge to make things, to use vivid colors, make sunsets, portray emotions, these things have been with me all my life. I stopped making art when I entered the workforce, believing that it was a hobby, unrealistic, not a lifestyle. Now I'm opening up the floodgates, trying my hand at many new things and loving every minute of it. Right now my resources are limited, but I'm going to do everything I can with what I have, putting my heart and mind down in ink and pencil and watercolor. I can see flaws in my work - so many flaws - but every time I make something new I'm proud of it. It's easy to scare myself into making nothing. Every time I make something I've conquered that fear. And seeing myself improve is a rich reward.
