I live in the small community of Loves Mill in southwest Virginia, where I grew up on the farm where I still live. I was bitten by the 'radio bug' early in life and went to work for local station WMEV in Marion soon after I graduated high school. After 25 years in broadcasting I spent time in television production, sales and customer service. I've fought a lifelong battle with depression that ended up nearly taking my life more than once within the past 15 years. However, after numerous suicide attempts and many, many hospitalizations I feel better mentally than I have in years. This is thanks to some wonderful doctors, the proper medications and the love and support of family. I've always had an interest in photography and only started concentrating on it as my own kind of therapy within the past 10 years or so. I find that it not only focuses my mind, but it brings me immense joy and a feeling of accomplishment. I thank you for taking the time to look over some of my 'personal therapy results' and sincerely hope that you find something you may like. Pretty much all of my images come from the region I call home, southwest Virginia and upper east Tennessee. My warm thanks for your visit.
