I consider myself to be somewhat of a generalist as a photographer. In fact, Walkabout, probably best describes my style as I wonder around the Pacific Northwest looking for ordinary but interesting everyday objects, scenes, and places of interest.
I am currently located in the beautiful community of Poulsbo, located on the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State. The area is bordered by the Olympic Peninsula and Mountains on one side and the Puget Sound and Seattle on the other side. This location provides an abundance of photographic opportunity. As a result, this, along with Eastern Washington, where I grew up, is where most of my Walkabout photography time is spent.
The two quotes below summarize my feelings about photography:
We are making photographs to understand what our lives mean to us.
To me, photography is an art of observation. It is about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I have found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
I hope you enjoy my gallery and would appreciate any comments you may have and of course it would be wonderful and a real honor if you were to purchase a piece of my art.
