Jean became interested in art at a young age when she admired the then-popular paint-by-number scenes her father completed.   That interest was furthered when Santa delivered a set of Childcraft Books one year to Jean and her siblings.   She immediately claimed all volumes having to do with art, art history, and crafts, then set about absorbing all she could from them.Few formal art classes were available to her, so to a great extent, Jean learned by osmosis.   She watched any TV shows she could about art - thank you, Jon Nagy - and spent much of her spare time practicing using various...more
