Art is subjective in nature and definition and that is the great thing about it. Jayaraj - Jay for short, tries to see things in a different angle - though his creative eye. He does oil paintings in the impasto style - applying heavy strokes of paint daubs. He always tries to give a pleasant feeling in terms of choosing colors and giving a 3D feel to keep the viewers engaged.
He started scribbling from childhood. It was his drawing teacher at class VI first recognized an artist in him. He started participating in many competitions at Schools, Colleges and state level competitions. Started pencil drawings, water color and oil paintings in school levels. Later on, being inspired by some well known artists, he started trying Impasto - he loves this art form more than anything. According to him 'creativity is a drug I cannot live without'.
