I've been an artist all my life, but officially since 12 years old. At that time I received my first oil painting supplies in a wooden box. I've been painting ever since. Art has never been just a hobby, but is actually a way of life. I'm self-taught, as much as one can be. Even self-taught artists are aware of the beauty they see everywhere, the wonderful books that show better ways to tackle a problem, and the encouragement received along the way. Still Life is my preference, realism my style. However, I need the variety that comes from doing figures/portraits, florals, and imaginary realism. Guess the only thing not on that list are landscapes. Happy painting to my fellow artists, and happy hunting to the art collectors viewing these pages!
