Janal began painting in her early teens. Growing up in Essex County Janal had the privilege to be taught by Sergio DePaoli a well known portrait painter and fine arts teacher. Taking every opportunity during and after school to learn as much as she could from such a talented and patient teacher. She was commissioned to paint murals on school walls before and after graduation and in local businesses. Client commissioned work for portraiture and child's playrooms were some of the work Janal did during those years.
Creating representational, abstract and figurative images for over 30 years. Inspired to photograph, and sometimes paint the people, wildlife and places i love to visit. Constantly learning and trying new ways to express myself through photography, digital art, digital painting, mixed media, acrylic and oil painting.
