Ian Henderson draws his inspiration from the gorgeous places he travels to. Mostly inspired by the Pacific Northwest, Ian’s desire with each piece is to draw his viewer into the scene, make him/her step into the worlds he has created on canvas and forget where they are physically. Ian uses photos and his imagination to create sometimes realistic scenes, sometimes fantastical scenes and sometimes a hybrid. Henderson has been practicing his art since he was five with his first drawings. He picked up paint at the age of 13 and has not stopped since. Ian’s work has been seen at The Columbia Tower Club, Avanti Art Gallery, Millstream Gallery, University House and graces the walls of many homes and businesses. Henderson is also a talented musician, under the name Painted Water, whose music has been described as relaxing and at the same time epic. His music is a soundtrack to nature and his music and art go hand in hand. Step inside one of Ian’s worlds!
