Gwen Cicone has an art style with impressionistic color and brushwork. Her art reflects the love she has for the beauty of the world. Gwen is interested in using the language of shapes, colors, and textures to represent both the look and the feeling of the subject.
Gwen has been creating art as long as she can remember. Painting has been part of her life since 6th grade when she took her first oil painting class with portrait artist Annette Hanna. Gwen Cicone holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Montclair University, New Jersey. She has taught art for over 30 years in public and private schools. Continuing to teach art in suburban Baltimore, MD, she actively engages her students in the magical world of art.
She currently lives in Perry Hall, Maryland with her husband and pet Yorkie. Now that her five children are grown, she has been able to pursue her painting passion.
