Guillem H. Pongiluppi, Barcelona 1981.
He is a freelance illustrator specializing in historical research and virtual archeology. He works in art direction, conceptual art and matte painting for pre-production, and post-production for audiovisual and videogames.
He has collaborated very closely with Didpatri, a cultural and research institution, who work on Didactics and Historical heritage for the University of Barcelona. With Didpatri he’s worked on several projects based on the XVIII century, as well as the virtual reconstruction of Empúries, the Born neighborhood, or the roman city of Calafell.
He is author of historic books such: “1714 El Setge de Barcelona”, “Born 1714”, “Guerra aèria a la batalla de l’Ebre” o “Els exèrcits de Jaume I”.
Guillem has worked on conceptual art and on matte paintings for movies such as Warcraft of Duncan Jones, Segon Origen by Carles Porta or Aloft by Claudia Llosa. He currently works with Glassworks Barcelona on a number of publicity ads, including New Lands, by Justice. In 2014 he worked on the TV show Cosmos, produced by National Geographic Channel and BBC.
His work on digital illustration has been shown on the prestigious Ballistic publications where the world’s best digital work is selected. You can find Guillem’s works in the books “Exposé 10”, “Exposé 11” i “Matte Painting 3”.
He is currently working on new and exciting projects.
