My name is Giovanni, I was born in Sicily, and I have been fortunate enough to live in several countries like northern Italy, France, Ireland, Lithuania, and now UK. I love travelling, visiting new places, and being in contact with the nature.
I've always been passionate about photography, and recently I bought my full frame DSLR camera and professional equipment, and I am constantly looking to learn new techniques and develop my skills further.
I like to be outdoor exploring beautiful landscapes and enjoying amazing scenery. I like anything that is connected with water: seas, rivers, lakes, clouds, waterfalls. I love the light of sunsets and sunrises, and the colours of dusk and dawn. And of course I am fascinated by the night sky, the stars, the moon, and the milky way.
My knowledge of photography comes entirely from self teaching, through books, magazines, and internet. I take inspiration from the best landscape photographers, and then put techniques into practice, experimenting with my camera.
Being a Landscape Photographer means being always in search of new locations, hiking for hours, often in the dark, to reach that beautiful natural scenery, and then waiting for the interesting light, finding the perfect composition, and finally capturing the moment, creating the best possible photo.
Naturally, it doesn’t always go as planned, the landscape, the weather, the light, are changing all the time, therefore it is essential to have patience, determination, and passion, and more importantly, to have fun.
