I am basically self taught, though I have learned a great deal from observing other artist and nature itself.   Probably the most important thing I have learned as an artist is to observe.   Everywhere I go I am seeing the world around me and how light illuminates everything.   My desire is to create through my brushes and pallet knife what I see, not only the image but the experience.
