I am an Auckland based artist, who has worked in a number of mediums, but mostly oil paintings.I love to paint places and homes.Some of my paintings are inspired by the kiwi scenery, the beach, sea,mountains and iconic images of New Zealand. I love the combination of brush and palette knife.
In my work I aim to evoke thoughts of holidays and places visited, treasures collected and memories made.
Its great to express yourself in art. I always had a passion for drawing and painting but only recently been able to pick the brush up again. I am fascinated by the textures and the intense chromatic that you can explore and reinvent by working the medium of oil painting. I love to use bold colours and the rich texture of oil. Painting for me is a release of energy, and a way to disconnect from our overly connected world.
