I am an animal and Celtic artist living and working in Somerset, UK.
My animal paintings are in acrylic on canvas or Artists' board and reflect my lifelong fascination with the living world. I research my work extensively in the field and in animal collections and museums, using sketches, photographs and notes. Living in Somerset, I have access to the coast, Exmoor and the Somerset Levels, a wide range of habitats and their inhabitants.
My Celtic work has developed from an illuminated manuscript of The Voyage of St Brendan the Navigator, a sixth century Irish monk who may have been one of the first Europeans to set foot on American soil.
